Google sent your website one visitor last month

This review is about what your website brings in from Google. Last month that was one visitor. The site itself is not the reason, and nothing below tells you to redesign it. The reason is what Google can see. Your site ranks for three searches in Ireland, all of them about BCAR certification, none about solar. Your solar page ranks for nothing. Your home city ranks for nothing. And your 93 Google reviews at 5.0 stars are doing their work on the page, but not in the search results where homeowners pick who to call. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.

01 The rankings

The only thing Google knows you for is BCAR

Your BCAR certification page is 17th in Ireland for "bcar", a 590-a-month search rated easy to rank for. That page proves the site can rank when a page clearly matches a search. Nothing else on the site does, including the pages that sell your main work.

You have a solar page. It doesn't appear in Google's results for a single search, because nothing about it matches what homeowners type: its address is a filename, its title doesn't say Dublin, and the words on it aren't the words people search. The BCAR page got those things roughly right by accident of its subject, and it's your only ranking page as a result.

What's already working

The part most installers get wrong, you've already done: real videos of you and the team, your Google reviews high on the homepage, real photos instead of stock. Visitors who reach the site get every reason to trust you. Every fix in this report is about one thing only: getting people to that page.

02 The specifics

Three things keeping the site out of the results

Weak
The homepage title doesn't say what you do or where
Your title on Google reads "Óg Engineering | Your partner in sustainable energy solutions." Nobody searches for a sustainable energy partner. The description under it is the same sentence repeated, so Google has almost nothing to show searchers. The replacement is written for you in section 03.
Missing
No page targets Dublin
You work in Dublin and the word appears three times on the homepage in passing. There's no page about solar in Dublin, so the 480 people a month searching "solar panels dublin" are shown your competitors instead.
Weak
The pages are named like files, not like searches
Addresses like og-engineering-solar-pv.html and og-engineering-electric-car-charging.html tell Google very little. Pages named for the search they serve, like /solar-panels-dublin/, give Google a clear reason to show them. The site also answers on two homepage addresses at once, which splits what little credit it has.
Worth noticing

The trust work is done and the visibility work hasn't started. That order is unusual, most installers have it backwards, and it means every visitor gained converts well from day one. The fixes below are steady monthly work, not a rebuild.

03 Done for you

The fixes, already written out

Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.

Fix 1 · New text for your Google listing
This is what people see when Óg Engineering comes up on Google today, next to what it should say.
What Google shows now
https://ogengineering.ie
Óg Engineering | Your partner in sustainable energy solutions.
Óg Engineering | Your partner in sustainable energy solutions.
What it should show
https://ogengineering.ie
Solar Panel Installers Dublin | Óg Engineering
Solar PV, battery storage and EV charger installation in Dublin, by a registered electrical engineering firm. 5.0 stars from 93 Google reviews.
Fix 2 · Rebuild the solar page around the search it should own
The design can stay exactly as it is. What changes is the address, the title, and the words, so Google can match the page to "solar panels dublin". Same treatment for the EV page.
og-engineering-solar-pv.html → /solar-panels-dublin/ — title, headings and text built around the search. Forward the old address to the new one.

og-engineering-electric-car-charging.html → /ev-charger-installation-dublin/ — same treatment.
Fix 3 · The pages the site is missing
Each of these gives Google a page to show for a search that currently returns nothing from your site.
/solar-grants/ — 480 searches a month, nothing ranking
/battery-storage-dublin/ — you install it, no page says so
/bcar-certification/ — your one ranking, 17th on an easy search. A stronger page takes it to page one and feeds the engineering side.

05 What it adds up to

Run your own numbers on it

Here's the sum in its plain parts. The searches in this report add up to over 2,000 a month, and your current share of them is one visitor. Most sites in that position also convert badly, so fixing them is two jobs. Yours is one job: the reviews, the videos and the real photos mean visitors already convert, there just aren't any. Every ranking gained lands on a site that's ready for it. You know your average job value. Against a base of one visitor, anything ranks as new money.

Why sooner beats later

Every month this stays as it is, the homeowners in Dublin searching for solar pick from the companies Google shows them, and you're not on the list. A 5.0 record from 93 reviews wins those comparisons, but only once you appear in them.
